On the 11 th of November 2006, AYB-SD signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the American University in Cairo to design a comprehensive strategy for poverty eradication in Egypt . AYB-SD will be responsible for piloting a poverty eradication strategy in Ain El Sira that can be replicated in various governorates in Egypt.
